Dylan's 13th Birthday Party

We've had a weekend of celebrating Dyl's birthday. We started with a sleepover Friday night and then the big pool party on Saturday. Lots of fun, food, and friends! Loud friends. Very energetic friends. Very Dylan-like friends. Yes, we're dog tired, but we're happy our girl had a fun time.

It's hard to believe she's a teenager. It seems like yesterday we were rocking her for hours. And then she started rocking (swinging) herself. And now she's as tall as I am. But she's still sweet. She's still fun. She's still special. She always will be.

Spring Break

For spring break, we went down to Charlotte. We spent the first few days looking at homes and getting to know the area. The girls got to see the schools they'll be attending next year, and I got to see my Target!

We spent the last 2 days at the Great Wolf Lodge. The kids love the one near us here in the Poconos, and you can't beat an indoor water park when dealing with unpredictable spring weather, so we planned that as the "vacation" part of the trip.

Our room at the lodge had a section for the kids that had bunk beds, and Isaac couldn't get enough of climbing up and down over and over again. I was preparing myself for that trip to the emergency room, but we lucked out. (We actually came closer to taking that trip after Dylan and Scott tricked me into getting on the Howlin' Tornado ride. Think Scream Machine...in the dark...on a raft...and, in my case, going down backwards.)

April...So Far...

It pains me to blog without pictures. But I'll just have to put some up later. We've had so much going on, and I do have plenty of pictures...just not the time or patience right now to download them.

So, the last couple of weeks have been a blur. We put our house on the market the Friday before the kids' spring break, took them out of school early on that same day, and flew down to North Carolina to check it out.

"Checking it out" primarily meant house hunting...with the kids. Which actually turned out to be a fun thing. They loved it. For two whole days! And, with everyone's stamp of approval, we found a home!

Now, for the really good part. We arrived back home in New Jersey and had an offer on our home here on Good Friday. One week from the day we listed! So, the week leading up to Easter was crazy. But in a good way. At least we could take a breather and really enjoy Easter Sunday.

Of course, things picked up after that with signing papers, inspections, more signing papers, and lots of communicating with agents both here and in NC. Not to mention all the normal busyness that is springtime (and Scott still working two jobs between NJ and NC).

So, that's our craziness in a nutshell. Pictures to come soon!
