Scott says no more blogging until I add pictures, so I'm on a mission.
These pictures were taken the first week we were here. It was decided months ago that the new swing would be top priority when we arrived in North Carolina, so Pawpaw planned everything. The end result was amazing. It's great! And sturdy. It'll be here when the rest of us are long gone.
The prep alone took a full day.
Day 2 was the actual construction.
The end result, inspired by a swing we loved in Hopewell, NJ, is a craftsman's work of art. The pictures don't do it justice.
All the kids love it, but it's really Dylan who claims it.
Our little swinger. How many hours in her lifetime, who could guess? What's for sure is that her first swing, built by Daddy and Uncle Steve in Alabama, was put to the test. She loved it so much that we moved it to New Jersey with us.
And though she's a big girl now, and had definitely outgrown that first swing, she's still just a swingin'. And, thanks to Pawpaw, she can swing for as long as she wants to.

I remember that sweet baby who always said, "push me!" Now she's more into solitude during those times, but just as SWEET. Glad she has her swing, it looks great.
